Description
1978 Volkswagen Westfalia Berlin Deluxe — Pristine, Fully Restored & Ready for Adventure
£40, 000 invested | 2. 0L engine | Left-hand drive | Rust-free | 4-berth + children’s hammock
A truly beautiful 1978 Volkswagen Westfalia Berlin Deluxe camper van, presented in pristine condition and ready to enjoy immediately.
This is a very special camper that has been lovingly owned, restored and meticulously maintained for the past 12 years. Originally purchased in Texas, USA, in 2008, it was shipped to the UK and subsequently underwent an extensive restoration. Having come from a dry climate and then been stored in a garage throughout its UK ownership, it remains totally rust-free.
I have invested approximately £40, 000 in the van, along with around 2, 000 hours of painstaking work, ensuring that it is both mechanically sound and beautifully presented.
The Camper
The classic Westfalia Berlin Deluxe interior provides comfortable accommodation for 4 people, together with the original children’s hammock.
The interior was completely stripped back to the bare shell and then fully renovated. Everything was either re-trimmed or laminated, resulting in a beautiful, clean and authentic interior. This alone took approximately 6 weeks of detailed work.
The body was stripped back to bare metal and professionally repainted at a specialist workshop. Even after around 12 years, the paintwork remains in excellent condition.

The van starts, drives and performs without issue and is ready for weekends away, extended holidays or European road trips.

Major Investment
Approximately £40, 000 has been invested in this camper, including:

£8, 000 — Interior restoration
£12, 500 — Engine, brakes, steering and mechanical work
This does not include the countless additional hours and further upgrades carried out over the years.
Loved, Garaged & Properly Cared For
I have owned this Westfalia since 2008 and it has always been treated as a cherished classic rather than simply a vehicle.
During its 12 years in the UK it has been kept garaged and used only during the summer, with great care taken when storing it over the winter months.
The result is a beautifully maintained, fully equipped VW camper that is ready to be enjoyed rather than needing another restoration.
Ready for Your Next Adventure
What makes this camper particularly special is that you can simply get in and go.
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing weekend escape, a two-week family holiday or a European road trip, this left-hand-drive Westfalia is ready for it.
Imagine winding through the hills, heading down to the coast, stopping wherever you fancy and enjoying the freedom that only a classic Westfalia can provide.
This is a genuine, beautifully restored and exceptionally well-cared-for camper with a huge amount of time, money and passion invested in it.
Please study all the photographs carefully — they form an important part of the description.

What makes this a unique camper van ? you can use immediately to go away for a weekend or 2 week holiday or travel too Europe being Left Hand Drive for the sumner. It is ready to go and enjoy on a lovey relaxing road trip, let your self unwind driving through the hills down to the sea .... It has been lovingly looked after and meticulous care has been taken to store it in winter time over the 12 years I have owned it. I bought it originally from Texas in USA in 2008 and had it shipped over then restored it . Its has no rust as Texas is a dry state and the time it has spent here in the UK it has always been garaged only sunny sumner use . All the interior was stripped to the bare shell and everything was re-trimmed or laminated it was a pain staking job took around 6 weeks. The body was stripped to the bare metal and was repainted at specialist workshop . it is still as good as it was done 12 years ago ..
