Only 2 owners from new. The first owner lived in Wimbledon and bought the car new from Mercedes-Benz, Geyfords in London on 29 November 1989. When the first owner passed away, his son’s friend, a vintage Ferrari dealer, sold the car to a Dublin based elderly man in 2019. This second owner recently passed away, which is why the car is now up for sale.
Excellent service history with 26 service stamps from Mercedes-Benz main dealerships and Mercedes-Benz specialist mechanics in London and Dublin. The car comes with a large file of paperwork, receipts and its original service book and maintenance manuals.
It has an NCT (National Car Test, equivalent to UK's MOT) until 2028, having passed the NCT on 28 March 2026.
Overall the car presents very well for its age. It drives perfectly and is mechanically in great condition. The V6 engine is very smooth. The interior is in very good condition, the deep pile carpets, interior trim and seat bolsters are all fresh looking. There are a few mostly age-related cosmetic/ electrical faults: paint/ lacquer wear on roof and on passenger side, electric sunroof not opening, rear electric windows not working, rear bumper needs polishing and radio aerial remains extended.
Qualifies for classic / vintage tax (56 euro per year) and classic insurance in Ireland. It retains its original Blaupunkt radio cassette player.
