Description
I’m selling my Fiat Barchetta, it’s been a lot of fun but it’s time for a new owner. It runs well and has been kept for the last four years in a de-humidified garage and only used on sunny days.
It has most of the bells and whistles that could be fitted and so is a very comfortable and enjoyable way to get down the road. It has 81, 400 miles on the clock and only 2 and a half owners from new.
I’m not looking to make a fortune but would like the car to go to someone who will enjoy it.
The good bits
- 1. 8 engine with variable valve timing
- Recent full service with cam-belt change
- Variator changed by Barchetta specialist four years ago
- Rear Inner wheel arches welded and protected
- Rear wheels professionally refurbished.
- Rear axle taken out, shot blasted and re-painted.
- Recent new springs and rear shock absorbers.
- New catalytic converter fitted two years ago
- Electric Windows
- Leather Upholstery
- Anti-Lock Brakes
- Stainless steel exhaust
- Original Fiat roof
- Recent new tyres all round (Yokohama ES32s)
- Lots of paperwork including original order and delivery notes.
- I'll be putting a new MOT on it this month ready for teh summer
Down sides
- There are some rusty bits of body work on the outer rear wheel arches. They’ve been stabilised but I haven’t had them sorted.
- There has been some welding of the floor but I think that is all sorted now. This car was imported from Germany as new by a friend of mine and he enjoyed it for many years. I took it off his hands a few years ago as he wasn't using it as much as it deserved. I've enjoyed using it thoroughly and looked after it carefully.
For a fun, easy to drive trip in the sunshine you can't beat the Barchetta. I always smile when I take it out of the garage to give it a run. Plus it stands out from the crowd of all the other 2 seaters due to its rarity. Don't let that rarity put you off, they're easy to look after with a good support forum to help out if needed.
