In automatic mode, the DCCD center differential uses information from the axle yaw rate sensor to determine the torque split. It works by selecting the free differential (35/ 65 front/ rear split) upon corner entry, which sends less torque to the front wheels and smooths the car into the corner. Then, when power is applied at the apex of the curve, it adjusts the torque distribution to 50/ 50 to ensure maximum traction. Additionally, for the 2005 model year, the rear wheel track was increased by 15 mm compared to previous models, and the wheel bolt spacing was increased to 114. 3 mm, allowing for the use of larger, more heat-resistant bearings.
