Description
The car you see here is a 1976 Alfa Romeo 2000 spider
All parts were either restored or replaced.
So here is a list of works:
Engine block
Total rebuild including new cylinder lining, new pistons and piston rings, new bearings, new
Sump, new water pump, new fuel pump, all new gaskets and oil seals.
Engine head
Total rebuild including new valves, new valve seats, new valve guides, new valve stem seals
and all shims correctly adjusted for cam gaps. New thermostat. Engine head cover was
treated to a crinkle red powder coat. I know its not factory but it looks amazing.
Rear dif was taken apart and cleaned and put back together with new seals and gaskets.
The gearbox was flushed and cleaned.
The steering box was taken apart and rebuild. No oil leaks.
Radiator flushed out and pressure tested before reinstallation.
Carbs total rebuild including all interior seals and gaskets and all jets.
New 123 electronic ignition system
New starter motor.
New alternator.
Rebuild brake master cylinder.
All brake callipers rebuilt and zinc plated.
All brake lines renewed.
Both brake boosters rebuilt and zinc plated
New clutch master cylinder
New clutch slave cylinder.
All clutch lines renewed.
New clutch plate.
Fuel tank flushed out and painted
All new fuel lines
All new wiring loom.
Heater matrix removed and checked for leaks and rebuilt.
New front lights and light covers.
All original instruments and dials in perfect condition.
Both LEATHER front seats.
All new carpets.
All chrome from the original car
New wind screen
Dashboard has no cracks.
All new weather seal rubbers.
The soft top frame was taken out and repaired. It was missing a hinge pin and painted.
New soft top fitted perfectly on the car.
All new suspension bushes. all suspension parts were taken apart, sand blaster and powder coated.
Both front and rear antiroll bar. (some would say that is overkill)
Sump guard under the engine bay.
I have extensive photos and videos on all the above mentioned works.
And so this is it. I’m sorry if this was a little long winded but there is lots to list and I’m almost sure I’ve missed something so please ask me any questions that come to mind.
As you can see a fair amount of money and time has gone into this car. I’ve been driving her now for a year or so and I’ve always kept her in a garage.
