Kingsley Cars fast road suspension fitted in December 2020. Cost £5, 000.
An engine-out overhaul was carried out by RPi Engineering in November 2021 (at 108, 955 miles) including a new Kent H180 cam shaft for low end torque, new push rods and oil pump gears, an RPi ignition system and Tornado ECU chip. The crank bearings were all checked and the rear crank seal replaced. A new alternator and fuel pressure regulator were fitted and the LPG system serviced. Cost £4, 500.
The car was then stored until mid-2024 when it was re-commissioned and had a new airflow meter fitted. Cost £2, 500
In 2025, it had an overhaul to the central locking and various track rod ends and bushes were replaced. The brake fluid was changed and a new King HT lead and 8 Iridium spark plugs were fitted. The LPG system was serviced again. Cost £5, 000
The first owner kept the car for 10 years and 35, 000 miles after which it was sold by Rimmer Bros to a retired British Leyland engineer. At 70, 000 miles he refurbished the car to include replacement engine and gearbox, removal of panels to rustproof the structure and chassis, suspension conversion to springs and dampers and a Kingsley anti-roll bar and he converted the car to LPG.
The previous owner bought the car in 2026 and fitted a new radiator, alternator, brake discs/ pads and refurbished the seat ECU.
It was sold to the current owner in 2020 at 104, 000 miles and kept on a classic car policy with 2, 000 miles per year since (£263 per year with on road parking allowed). I have done four or five 200 mile plus trips in it over the last 18 months.
The car looks beautiful and drives very well, stable and comfortable at speeds. The improvement to low down torque makes the car very driveable.

Current MOT advisories include corrosion warnings (nearside rear inner/ offside rear / front body mounts). It will need re-rust-proofing underneath. Price takes account of the cost of professional Dinitrol treatment.
