The car is LHD and was imported to the UK in 2024, following an estate/ probate sale in the US.
It now has a new MOT with no advisories, and is ULEZ free. In 2026 it reaches historical status also (therefore no future MOT or Road tax)
The car has been reconditioned/ restored mechanically - no expense was spared to ensure the engine and suspension and electricals are in strong working order. I wanted a car I could trust. The paintwork is in good condition and shines well, but there is some patina reflective of its age (ie door handle faded from the sun). The 4. 3k GBP spent in 2025 with renowned Mercedes specialist - BMERC, includes:

The 560SL is a classic stylish grand tourer with effortless power. This car was supplied in North Carolina before moving to California. It has year round useability and offers a supple comfortable ride. It is a frequent attendee of car shows also.
There is a raft of original booklets and paperwork - including the manual. The car also has a factory tookit with the spanners to remove the hardtop. The car is completely original, with rear seats. An aftermarket DAB Bluetooth stereo has been installed (and works)
The car is finished in Signal Red with black MB Tex interior, it has cruise control, electric mirrors, heated seats, cold A/ C, temperature gauge, ABS, airbag, armrest, auto climate control.
