Description
This is a 1978 BMW E12 (LHD), purchased in Greece a couple of years ago. The car was originally sold new in Belgium to its first owner, before moving to its second owner in Lesbos, Greece in 1983, where it spent most of its life in a very dry climate and was reportedly maintained regularly (no records available).
Since arriving in the UK, the car has been thoroughly inspected and serviced, including a new set of tyres. It is largely rust-free, with only a small spot at the base of the A-pillar and a scratch on the right-hand-side front fender. I have been quoted approximately £700 to address both, but I haven’t had the time to carry out the work as I need to free up garage space.
Mechanically, the car runs exceptionally well, with no rattles or unwanted noises. I have been using it almost daily, enjoying its smooth, relaxed driving experience, fully functional sound system, and open roof.
For the next owner, a few straightforward improvements would take the car to the next level: a thorough deep clean/ detail, replacement of the wheel badges (currently poor decals), adjustment/ repair of the temperamental passenger-side door, and attention to the small rust spot mentioned above. Worth mentioning, is a '78 car with 82439 miles. Any questions please ask.
