Description
A pretty Moto Guzzi 175 Lodola (manufactured I believe in 1957) for sale. Imported into the UK in 2017, the bike was registered in 2019 but the restoration project was never completed by the previous owner.
From the builders file the bike has had over £2000 spent on it. My understanding is that it has had new wiring, coil and headlamp internals, a new rear light, new seat, new tyres and tubes on original repainted wheel rims, minor body repair and full repaint, plus transfers to tank and battery and toolbox. The bike also had new cables, swinging arm bushes, brake linings and wheel bearings, together with a Speedo overhaul. The majority of the engine work was to the top end that new mains, rollers, clutch and cam chain, with new gaskets / sundries were fitted. In discussion the owner he indicated that the cush drive rubbers as being pretty hard (i. e. they were not replaced), and that the external oil pipe beneath the engine seems to leak (minor). Interestingly the bike was never started so will need a good going over and the project completed.
Alas I have just too many other projects, including my own 235 Lodola. Grab yourself a great little project and have some fun – she will be worth far more than that when done.
