Description
Ford's takeover triggered a quality offensive at Jaguar, benefiting especially the XJS models of the third series from 1991 onwards. New production machinery and a lot of galvanised sheet metal contributed to it. Moreover, the XJS range was already 16 years old at that time and was thus free of so-called teething troubles.
The majority of the vehicles went to the USA. Our XJS was driven in Florida – rust is not a problem.
The car suits the bright red colour exceedingly well, and the black interior and the black hood contrast with it perfectly.
Our vehicle was imported from the USA in 2017 and has been in the current owner's possession ever since. Since then he has invested a fair amount of effort and money in the car to bring it to its current condition.
The following work was carried out in particular:
- Repaint in the original colour
- Convertible roof including roof motor renewed
- Interior carpets new
- Headlights new
- Brakes including brake booster renewed
- Shock absorbers and springs new
- On-board computer renewed
- Air conditioning overhauled
- Rear axle overhauled
A total of around €20, 000 has been invested in this Jaguar.
A 2024 valuation report with grade "2+" is available.
The whole vehicle presents itself in very nice condition.
The XJS has an overall mileage of around 125, 000 kilometres.
Please watch a YouTube video about the vehicle on the channel "Der Doc fährt" episode 101.
The owner is selling this beautiful car for reasons of age and to downsize his collection.
