Description
Restored 1979 two door Range Rover, suffix F.
This classic two door was manufactured in Solihull in 1979 and subsequently exported to South Africa where it spent the next 40 years.
In 2019 it arrived back in the UK to undergo a restoration by Darren Lewis at Simba 4x4. Please see the pictures for reference. Where possible all original components, including the engine and gearbox were retained. Period correct 'Tuscan Blue' paint was chosen to complement the new tan interior.
There is no accurate recorded mileage as the odometer stopped working sometime before restoration.
Subsequent work was carried out post restoration to convert the car from a manual to electronic choke.
A full service at a cost of £400 has recently been carried out, and although MOT exempt, the car would have passed in any event.
What you see here is the opportunity to own a well restored and usable classic that should only need gentle maintenance in order to enjoy for many years to come.
