Description
1981 TR7 Convertible fitted with 16 Valve Sprint engine.
I am the third owner, the first being the selling dealer.
I have the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate.
Many MOT certificates have been kept and has a full MOT now.
The second owner had a minor rear end shunt. I purchased the car as it was in excellent condition and rebuilt it into a BLMC factory unused bodyshell. The car is painted bright orange with colour co-ordinated bumpers and other bolt on parts. It has many extras fitted to include...
16 Valve Dolomite Sprint engine
3. 45 rear axle ratio, perfect for motorway cruising
Electronic ignition
Electric power steering
Uprated brake master cylinder and servo, four pot front brake callipers and rear wheel cylinders upgrade
Roll over bar fitted with high level brake light
15 inch MGF wheels. Original steels still available (Tyre tread is good but tyres are getting old)
Leather seat covers
Front daylight running lights
Electric cooling fan
Tow bar
Radio cassette player with electric aerial
CB Radio
Concealed battery isolator switch
There is a huge amount of spares to go with the car which incudes the original 8 valve engine and a spare 16 valve engine, both in running order.
Other spares include a gearbox, headlights with motors, starter motors and many smaller parts too many to list.
The car is in a very good general condition. It is not concourse as it has been a used car, but it would not take a lot to improve. The car is a real head turner and I get lots of positive comments.
My reason for selling is that I am finding it difficult to get in and out of the car now and at the age of 80 I have to be realistic.
I am open to offer, with or without the spare parts.
