Rare and lovely CLK 500 Cabriolet. Great colour combination of Iridium Silver with dark blue hood with blue and anthracite two tone leather interior.
Mechanically very good and well maintained by enthusiast owners . Interior very good. Minor wear on drivers bolster and steering wheel.
Rocker cover gaskets just renewed to cure oil leak (common on the otherwise brilliant M113 V8 at c 100k miles ). New rear brake hoses and lines replaced using cupro-nickel.
This car is an Avantguard with factory fitted AMG styling but has special Mercedes staggered 17'' polished alloys, H&R springs and Sachs dampers.
4 Continental tyres in good condition. Lots of good options like xenons , keyless-go etc.
Roof works perfectly ( front cylinder recently replaced and hydraulic fluid changed)
Aircon was working last summer but not cooling much now. May just need re-gassing which I plan to do.
Some rust in arches as pictured and a few minor issues which I can describe on request or come and view .
These cars are much underrated at present, especially the 5 litre V8 and this car stands out with its subtle upgrades and lovely colour combination.
Therefore it will repay sorting the rust in the wheel arches. Alternatively just use it as is - a bargain open top V8 muscle car with 12 months MOT.
I've owned for 5 years and only selling due to need for dog friendly transport . Would consider PX for an N52 engined 3 or 5 series touring - nothing else thanks.
