Hello,
I am selling a 2003 Mercedes CLK 500, fitted with the renowned M113 naturally aspirated 5-litre V8 and the 5G-Tronic automatic gearbox with torque converter (the most reliable).
Exteriorly, the car presents very well for its age. The paint and lacquer are in very good overall condition, despite a few minor visible defects, notably:
- A scratch on the rear right wing
- Damaged lacquer and paint on the right side of the rear bumper
- A poor respray on the rear left wing
- Two minor dents on the bonnet
- A creak from the rear suspension when driving over large speed bumps, with no effect on handling (anti-roll bar bushes? track rod?)
- The headlining is coming away from the roof in places
As for the interior, it is very well preserved. The seats are in near-new condition, the centre console shows no visible faults, the buttons and stalks are fully functional and in very good condition, and the steering wheel is also in good shape.
All the electrics work (windows, sunroof, radio/ sat nav, instruments, etc.).
Interior defects:
- The headlining comes away from the roof in places
- The driver's window rattles when the door is closed (does not affect operation or sealing and poses no risk of breakage)
Mechanically, the car is in perfect working order. The engine is dry, with no leaks, as is the gearbox. It produces its full power, revs cleanly without misfiring or complications. The gearbox does not slip and changes gear smoothly without hesitation.
Recent expenditure:
- Full service (oil change and filters, including a Green Filter sport air filter)
- Gearbox oil change and cleaning by a specialist
- Spark plugs and coils
- Gaskets on both rocker cover covers
- Preventive recall work on the sunroof carried out at Mercedes (LG Pamiers)
