Description
I am selling my 1994 Rover Mini Mayfair (JDM Import) after nearly five years of ownership to make way for something new.
Overall it's a very tidy car, and has just been MOT'd with no advisories, lasting until April 2027. As it is a JDM import (imported in 2018) it is very good in terms of rust. There are a few bubbles at the bottom of the doors and under the windows however the sills and subframe are sound.
This is not a fully original car, and there have been some changes and modifications, I believe these are some mainly when the car was in Japan but the paintwork and decals were by the previous UK owner.
- Cooper seats and door cards finished
- Dashboard conversion
- Roof painted and stripes added
- GAZ shocks
In my ownership I have:
- removed the air con (all the parts are still with the car, but work would need to be done to convert the gas in the system)
- fitted a KAD quick shifter
In terms of maintenance work in my ownership:
- new brake master cylinder fitted
- new air box fitted
- vacuum tubes replaced
- new alternator and belt
- new exhaust and catalytic converter
Unfortunately there is not a lot of history with the car, either from Japan or whilst it has been in the UK.
There is not a lot more to say! It's not a perfectly clean example, but it runs well and is fun to drive, exactly as a mini should be.
