Description
I'm selling my rare 1. 8 v6 Mazda MX3. It's originally a UK right hand drive car, now fully registered in France as a 'collection' classic car. It can be sold within France, or I'm sure it could be registered in other European countries.
It drives superbly and is in generally good condition. Perfectly usable everyday if needed, but a collectible Japanese classic with prices starting to go the way of other sporty nineties Japanese cars. Really interesting design and a very rare sight on the roads these days.
Not many owners and stacks of history including cambelt changes. The engine is a peach of a v6 revving high and sounding great, gear change is a typical mazda delight and handling is very tidy while retaining a comfortable ride. Just had 2 tyres, discs and pads all round and will have an oil and filter change before the sale. It has a current French Control Technique done a year ago (valid for 5 years as it's a classic) but will get a fresh CT before sale if remaining in France.
Paintwork is good but not perfect. A few chips around the body but still quite tidy. Repainted at some point. I've polished it but I'm sure would benefit from a professional detail.
Interior very tidy with everything present. Modern bluetooth radio. usable back seats and quite a big boot. Sunroof currently doesn't open though.
It's at the point of its life where it needs an owner to give it a bit of tlc to make sure it can go on for another decade. While not affecting the drive, some of the suspension components are looking quite old with surface corrosion. The chassis is solid with no rot, but worth planning on renewing some parts and protecting the underside for the future.
All in all, it's a lovely little car with lots of character. A rare opportunity to pick up a good one of these for reasonable money. Prices will only go one way in the coming years. Spent most of its life in Hastings, UK with 2 owners. Had lots of maintenance done and care put into it. Used less in recent years but still lovely to drive. I imported it into France last year. All taxes paid and registration certificate in my name.
