Description
1956 Ford Consul MK1 Saloon registered 1/ 1/ 56. My fathers car since 1996 and formed part of a large collection of MK1, 2 and 3 Fords that he owned. Has been unused for the past decade. Recent work carried out so that it is running and stopping include, new clutch master cylinder, new seal kits for clutch slave cylinder and brake master cylinder. Brake system cleaned. New spark plugs and points. New carburettor gasket kit. 4 keepers in total. History file with invoices and old mot certificates. There are some minor areas of corrosion bubbling up on the body work. Overall the chrome work is good, with some areas showing its age. The interior is good. I suspect that the headlining has been replaced as it looks in excellent condition.
