A very desirable and rare series 1 Alfasud ti manufactured in 1976. This car has the 1186cc engine and 5 speed gearbox, as it came from the factory. This car has been driven regularly for the last 15 years or so, by me for the last 10 and by a good friend previously. I haven't MOT'd it in recent years, but have maintained it, and rebuilt the suspension prior to the last trip to Germany. We have both driven it to shows in Europe and around the UK, the little car coping admirably with the speed and mileage. It is well known within the AROC Alfasud community. I have the history/ documentation from new. This car is not in the first flush of youth, and previous to our ownership it had a 'restoration' (probably over 20 years ago) to be made to look nice and shiny, and has had various repairs over the years to keep it on the road. It looks nice from 10 feet away, but could really do with a complete restoration to make it tip top, there is corrosion in all panels, restoration has always been my intention. I have a large collection of panels including boot lid, bonnets, doors, wings, rear three quarters panels, chassis legs, sills, windscreen, rear screen, new material for the seats etc. I would prefer the car buyer to have these things rather than sell individually. The car had new tyres within the last 2 years.
It really pains me to sell it, but retirement hasn't really released all the time that i had hoped it would. I really want the car to go to an enthusiast who will restore the car and use it.
I would expect any potential purchaser to discuss the car with me and to come and see the car, but will not entertain tyre kickers or those looking for a day out and a chat. The great thing about this car is that it is complete and been in continual use for years, That and the fact i have the history from new.
