Beschreibung
The bike came to me in 2021 being in bits for the last 40 years, the forks and front wheel had been lost and the rear wheel was not original, the frame had lost its Nickle lustre over the years and the engine was in boxes. The BSA engine has been totally rebuilt and has belt drive and Bob Newby clutch, Twin Amal Carburettors and Boyer ignition, oil mods to include filters.
The frame has been re Nickle plated, needle roller swinging arm bearings fitted, new alloy petrol tank and fibre glass seat fitted, the faring is the famous nose cone type so we can have lights and use the bike on the road as well as Classic race events.
The front forks are genuine Rickman 41mm and Rickman yokes, all have been refurbished, the correct period front and rear wheels rebuilt and new brake callipers fitted, the exhaust was hand made to the original spec but has removable baffles. Many parts such as foot rest plates, rear brake calliper mounts, foot levers, engine plates were all hand made by me. I have V5 in my name stating the bike make as Rickman.
I have authenticated dating certificate from the Rickman Metisse Historic Registerthe bike is lovely to ride but i am finding it difficult to start now with some knee issues
