1990 on a G reg, Peugeot 205 GTi 1. 9 in red.
Owned this 205 since early 2020 and slowly restored it over the years, I used it as my wedding car last July which was a very proud moment for me. The only reason I am looking to sell is because I have bought a new toy and I feel like it’s a shame to leave this one locked away. It has MOT until July this year and only done minimal mileage in the year.
The car was stripped back to bare metal, rust repaired and fully repainted with glass out. I chose not to replace the glass as it was ok but does have reg numbers etched into the glass. The interior was kept original as I couldn’t find the correct pattern with the plastic woven into the seats. The seats are very presentable as they are. Very minor things are needed to 100% finish this car, the plastic triangle covers over the mirror adjusters need fitting back on and small grommets for the doors. Overall I wanted to keep it as original as I possibly could, I kept the original cassette radio, replaced the sunroof seal that actually pumps up and down, I also kept the original air horn and had that put back together.
Wheels refurbished, new Davanti Race tyres fitted to give it that rally car look. Refurbished back axel and aftermarket sports exhaust fitted at the same time as the original was far beyond saving, this has a nice tone and not loud at all.
All new brake lines fitted, new fuel lines and many old but new stock sourced for boot seals, correct windscreen seal sourced to have the deflection for sunroof, new induction pipe and original air box sourced.
Runs and drives very well, looks exceptional on the road. It will be truly missed.
