This particular car has a fascinating story. It was bought brand new in 1978 by a local gentleman from Leicester through a Fiat dealer in Leicester, making it one of the very first UK cars. We actually had the pleasure of meeting him around eight years ago, and remarkably, the car has remained with the same owner from new.
It has covered a genuine 22, 904 miles and comes with an incredible history file, including paperwork for everything ever carried out on the car. It retains all of its original booklets, both keys, and a full service history. It also comes with every MOT certificate it has ever had, making this an exceptionally well-documented and cherished example.
The car is completely original and has always been garaged from new, so this is certainly not your usual rust bucket — it’s a true time-warp example.
Although the car has been off the road for a few years, it was regularly started during that time. Since taking it in, we have carefully recommissioned it, including cleaning years of dust away, recommissioning the engine, fitting brand new brakes all round, draining and cleaning the fuel tank, and carrying out a full engine service including a cambelt replacement.
