Description
TD5 Land Rover only 2 former keepers. Previously owned by Highlands and Islands Airport Authority and used as an ops vehicle for Dundee Airport. Blue lights and airport spotlights included. Two tone sirens still on the vehicle and working.
Mechanically very sound - chassis and bulkhead relatively rust free (No salt in the airport). Lanoguard protection. TD5 engine well maintained. Actual mileage 95, 152. Second hand spedo fitted when original shorted out after bulb replacement. Original also available.
Very tidy inside. Digital spedo/ inclinometer/ compass. Functioning reversing camera (massive blind spot with rear mounted spare hence camera). Rubber checker plate mats in back and load space.
Exterior panels are unrestored. Clearly used as a working vehicle. Would benefit from new doors as frames and skins failing but functional. Original white wheels also included with aggressive off road tyres. Land Rover period alloys on in good condition with all terrain tyres fitted at present and included.
All airport literature included: maps of the airport / foreign object debris report / radio. Mounts for fire extinguishers also included - sadly no fire extinguishers. Originally registered as a fire engine.
MoT to December. Advisory small gearbox oil leak. No oil on garage floor! I have done almost no miles in the last 4 years hence sale.
New steering box, steering damper, rear shocks. Strands light bar operates with high beam or independently and has running light with side lights. New clutch and spigot bearing. New brake pipes.
Unique opportunity: can revert to fire engine, used as a utility vehicle, or just a great functional tidy Land Rover.
