Slough built Citroën Big Six For Sale
Built in 1949-50 has been owned by me since October 1995. After many years of reliable and enjoyable motoring we have, sadly, decided to part company – to the right owner at the right price!
Finished in Tudor Grey metallic, the original colour, the paintwork is an older restoration but still in very good condition with a recent Ceramic Coat treatment, which has made it much more weather resistant. The body is rust free.
The interior is original complete with working (on a good day) valve radio. The wheels are a pre-war Pilote lightweight set.
Mechanically she is in perfect working order and drives as a Big Six should. EZ electric power steering transforms the steering, particularly at low speeds. An uprated radiator has banished the usual overheating problems, aided by an electric cooling fan.
Bought from Traction Avant specialist John Gillard of Classic Restorations. John looked after her for many years and more recently Andrew Galt, who originally worked for John, has maintained her to the highest standard, he was last checking her out last month.
