Description
Rare Mk3 Dellow Trials / Sports car. Approximately 18 of these four seater models were built and 10 are thought to survive.
Dellow car company was set up in 1947 to build Trials cars and from 1950 onwards mostly used new Ford parts. They built their own light, high strength, chassis made from reclaimed ex MOD Chromium Molybdenium UP3 rocket casings. The Mk 3 four seater was introduced on a lengthened chassis in 1952.
This Dellow has a standard 100e Ford engine. Was in the previous owners family for over 50 years, dry stored in a garage and little used since a restoration. It is in good but not show condition. In my ownership the car has been serviced and a new brake master cylinder fitted. It now goes and stops well but still requires some re commissioning to make it safe for the road. In particular it needs some work on the suspension. I have another project needing garage space so sadly the Dellow needs to move on. The car comes with some spares and hoops to remake a hood.
