A lovely little car that was a dream car of mine, but I am not in the position to carry on the work she needs in order to be her former self due to other financial responsibilities. It will be a sad day when she goes to someone else.
I have had this car for only a year and three months and it's been a joy to own.
Starts every time with a nice smooth drive. Convertible which is great in summer. Turns heads wherever she goes.
In need of some TLC in the roof area, rear arch and general engine updating as she's 35 years old (such as new coolant hoses) and has a very slight oil leak as well (no oil pooling on floor however).
New passenger side rear wheel arch last year along with cold idle valve, HT leads, sparks, full service and new washer jets, new brake discs and pads on the front wheels three months ago and a new steering rack fitted around 10 months ago. Recently had the idle adjusted so she has a rumble now, adjusted kickdown cable and a gearbox oil and adjustment.
A great tinker car for someone who has the patience and funds to get her back to her former glory. I do not want to see her rot on my drive, she has so much more life left in her. She turns heads wherever she goes and the Figaro Owners Club is a lovely place to gather information about the cars, go for meet ups with other owners and to make friends along your ownership.
Insurance is quite cheap and tax is £19 a month until it's 40 years old, in five years time.
