Description
This is my Parilla 175 Sport Special. I restored it to a high standard about three years ago with no expense spared. Its one of the few examples brought into Britain in the early 1960's to test the market so to speak. The problem was that with the import duties these little bikes cost the same as a Triumph Bonneville and they just didnt sell. This one languished until it was finally sold and registered in 1962 although its a 1959 bike. I went to great lengths to retrieve its original registration number. These bike are an amazing design with beautiful attention to detail. The engine is what is known as a high cam engine. There is a cam shaft at the top of the extended side casing which operates two very short pushrods. This enable the engine to rev freely. Everything works. Any questions, feel free to ask.
