Description
Probably one of the best preserved coupe s polo's around: No rot! ... no filler!.. glass-out respray last year. Little brother to the Golf mk1 GTi and much rarer: only 10 on the road and 36 SORNED. Runs and drives really well despite mileage, which I think is the original engine! Loads of history and original manuals plus very little work needed over the last 9 years of ownership - new radiator, carb, SS exhaust, refurb'd alloys and general servicing - very economical classic car and well looked after and improved in my ownership. Bad bits - wear on drivers and passenger seat, hit-&-miss synchro going into reverse, tailgate wiper and LCD clock doesn't work - everything else does!
Gets loads of attention on road and at shows. Next job is an interior re-trim (due to front seats) and sort the rear wiper but could do with reducing my collection so up for sale. I've put more money into it than i will get back ..... ready for someone else to enjoy.
