Description
Genuine Morris Minor Million. This is number 15 and a particular early car of the production run of 350 cars that were build to celebrate the 1, 000, 000 Morris Minors to be built and the chasis plate number is 1, 000, 015.
Formally announced on 4 January 1961, all 350 Minor Millions were two-door De Luxe models and all were painted lilac, matched to ‘white gold’ ivory trim. As well as the off-white hide seats with, the Million featured, chrome rimbellishers, and special ‘Minor 1000000’ motifs on the bonnet and the boot.
This car was retrieved from long term storage from a family friend in 2022 and recommissioned by Beer of Houghton for road use. All brakes were refurbished and all suspension, steering and electrical items were checked over. The is a solid car as shown in the photographs of the underside of the car. Over the past 4 years the car has regularly been shown at car events and shows across East Anglia and admired wherever it has been shown as it is such a rare variant of everyone's favourite car. The owner is in their mid eighties and it would be wonderful for this car to still be used.
