1973 Volkswagen Type 3 Variant (Squareback)
For sale is my 1973 Volkswagen Type 3 Variant (Squareback), a rare and increasingly sought-after air-cooled Volkswagen in attractive orange paintwork.
The car is running and driving well and has been regularly used and maintained. Odometer currently shows approximately 58, 000 km. It presents very well overall and remains a highly original and honest example of the Type 3 Variant.
The bodywork is solid overall, with only a few localized rust spots consistent with the age of the vehicle. The paint still has a good shine, although there are some scratches and cosmetic damage on one side of the car, as shown in the photographs. These are cosmetic issues only and have not affected the car's usability.
The interior, trim and brightwork are in good condition for a 52-year-old vehicle and the car retains the charm and character expected from a classic Volkswagen.
This is not a concours-restored show car, but rather a genuine, usable classic that can be enjoyed immediately while leaving room for the next owner to improve it further if desired.
