Description
1967 Alfa Romeo Junior 1300 GT (LHD) in exceptional condition, 3 owners from new.
Well documented low mileage ‘flat dash’ car with full history trace, restoration and upgrades fully sympathetic to original specification with all works to the highest standard. The best of it’s type I have seen.
First registered in 1967 to a lady owner in Padova, Italy who after 20 years de-registered and stored the car in late 1986, retaining ownership, then re-registered it in mid 2006, sold in 2014. In 2014 full bodywork restoration and a high quality repaint were carried out by Agustino Grigoletto’s body shop in Padova for classic car specialist Jurgen Swoboda, Quern, Germany on behalf of a new owner. Following some initial works at Quern, a TUV test and registration in March 2015, the car was delivered to the owner in Munich.
The car was garage stored in Munich and used only in summer months, covering just over 8, 600 km from 2015 to 2023.
During that time it was serviced and upgraded by renowned Munich based Alfa Romeo specialist Werner Hofaichner and brought into top technical condition. The engine, transmission, chassis and brakes have been strictly overhauled or updated to original specification. Handling benefits from some Stradale ‘fast road’ suspension upgrades - stronger front anti-roll bar, uprated springs, Bilstein front and Koni rear dampers. Sump guard fitted.
A top quality period style interior compliments the original flat dashboard, rare original Bloster U63 steering lock fitted along with period style seat belts.
Body panels and gaps are perfect, cavities rust treated and sealed. The underbody is original and unwelded, treated with Tectyl protective wax - photos to confirm. Under bonnet is as original.
Always maintained by specialists, the car stands on immaculate Maxilite GTA style 6Jx14 wheels fitted with Avon CR6-ZZ tyres and comes with it’s original GT wheels, Pirelli Cinturato tyres and hubcaps.
Imported to UK in mid 2023, all duties paid, MOT tested and DVLA V5 issued with registration mark: OBP 276E. Headlights changed to RHD and very little mileage since import. Garage stored, started and test driven every 3 months. Odometer reads 33, 056 km.
Very comprehensive history file contains original Italian and German title documents, TUV test certs up to 2023, invoices for all works carried out, together with a professional technical appraisal report on 9 October 2017 by Gutax, Munich.
Viewing highly recommended.
A copy of Alfa Romeo Giulia GT history by Patrick Dasse, owner handbook with wiring diagram included in the sale. Lots of photos.
