Description
PFE 337P is a 1976 MG Midget 1500 that was first registered 1st April 1976. The car looks superb finished in its original colour of Chartruese Yellow with a black interior and sitting on Rostyle wheels with chrome trim rings and a new set of quality 145/ 80/ 13 tyres. The car is registered as historic so is Road Tax exempt and MOT exempt (it does have an MOT with no advisories). The last but one owner kept the car from 1994 till 2025 (31 years) and in his ownership it had a full restoration. In the last 4000 miles it has had a full body restoration and repaint, clutch, brake master & slave cylinders, fuel sender, carb rebuild, brake callipers & pads, Shock absorbers, new Diff, water pump, new soft top, suspension rebuild, fuel, pump, starter motor, carpet set, interior kit, seats recovered with yellow piping, unleaded head conversion, inertia belts, new springs & leaf springs, hoses and recently a full service. The interior is a nice place to be with an excellent Sony CD/ Radio stereo, map light, sports steering wheel and inertia belts. All covered by a very good mohair soft top with a zip out rear window and a hood tonneau for when the hood is down. The boot houses the spare wheel which has a nice MG cover, the essential tools and a folder of catalogues for the Midget. The boot lid has boot rack attached. Chrome door mirrors and locking petrol cap complete the look. The engine bay is very clean and the 1500cc engine starts on the button and runs smoothly with very good oil pressure. The 4 speed box and clutch operate just as they should and propel the car forward with some pace. The underside of the car is almost as good as the top. Nice history file with old MOT's, invoices etc and includes a heritage certificate. A great little car that looks and drives very well and ideal for the summer.
