Description
1957 Oldsmobile Fiesta pillarless Wagon
Project
An amazing opportunity to acquire one of the rarest 50s Oldsmobiles.
Please read the whole description to understand exactly what is being offered for sale.
I imported the car from California over 12 years ago. It is UK registered in my name.
The car is rot free, even the door bottoms, hood leading edge and tailgate are all in superb rust free condition. The floors also superb, requiring no welding whatsoever with the exception of the spare wheel well.
There is some very minor surface rust under the body and on the chassis from storage.
I have restored four 50s Oldsmobiles and have never seen one in this condition.
It comes with fully retrimmed seats and door cards, done in the States. These have been done to a very high standard and have been wrapped in protective film since they were completed.
Rear bumper good second hand.
Front bumper – top half, very good condition second hand. Bottom section is a good second hand one.
I have loads of trim parts etc and all rubbers for the screens, glass and windows. Please see pictures for the extent of these.
When I purchased the car, the engine had been professionally rebuilt as was the transmission. The engine and transmission were just bolted in for transport. I have regularly WD40 / oiled the bores and turned the engine over by hand.
Since I bought the car, all those years ago, I have rebuilt/ restored a 1957 Olds 88 Convertible (body off frame resto) and also a 1958 98 Coupe. I still have my ’57 Super 88 Coupe that I restored over 20 years ago. So I know these Olds!!!! None of these cars have been as rust free as this wagon!!!
I even managed to source the tailgate emblem / ornament and letters which are like rocking horse shit!!!
I also got the the ‘Rose Mist Metallic’ paint sent over from the states.
I have racks of 50s Oldsmobile spares which I am sure I can source any missing part I might have forgotten to acquire.
I acquired four doors from a Super 88 as it was my intention to use the Super 88 stainless trim, as I prefer the look of the Super 88. The doors are rough but the S/ S trim is in excellent condition.
I now realise, very sadly, that due to age and health issues, I am just not going to get this car done. It breaks my heart, but I have to be realistic, it has to go!!!
Please contact Paul for any more information and to arrange a viewing.
I live about 8 miles south of Bath, Somerset.
I can probably arrange transport at a competitive price.
I would be happy to recommend a shipping company / assist in any way I can, should the car end up going overseas.

AVAILABLE BY SEPARATE NEGOTIATION, IF REQUIRED
In addition to the wagon, I have a fully restored / rebuilt chassis including suspension and brakes fitted with a 1959 394 Olds engine and trans.
SEE LAST PIC.
I acquired this 2 or 3 years ago from Canada as I thought this would speed up the restoration and rebuild of the car.
This came from a 57 Olds Wagon that the owner decided to remove and replace with a fully custom chassis. So, it will be a perfect fit.
