Description
2003 Audi TT 1. 8T Quattro | 27500 Miles | Glacier Blue & Ivory | Major Mechanical Refresh
Offered here is a truly exceptional, "time capsule" example of the iconic Mk1 Audi TT. Finished in the rare and elegant Glacier Blue metallic with a beautiful Ivory leather interior, this car has covered 27, 500 miles (and rising) with only one previous owner before myself.
While many low-mileage cars suffer from "standing still" issues, this TT has been comprehensively refreshed to ensure it is turn-key and ready for the next collector. Within the last two years of my ownership, the following major preventive maintenance has been carried out:
New Cambelt, water pump, fuel pump, thermostat, temperature sensor, hazard lights switch, airfilter, oil filters, engine oil. I always used premium V Power E5 fuel(plenty of receipts).
Full clutch replacement including new Master and Slave cylinders, plus a new Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF), full Haldex Service at Audi Hatfield.
Premium Continental PremiumContact7 tyres fitted all around less than 2K miles ago and a fresh MOT. The original alloy wheels would benefit from a refurbishment to bring them up to the standard of the rest of the car.
The Glacier Blue paintwork perfectly complements the Ivory leather, an interior choice that remains incredibly bright and clean thanks to the low usage. Being the 180 Quattro model with a manual gearbox, it offers the purest Mk1 driving experience with the security of four-wheel drive.
There are a couple of spots of paint bubbling in the wheel arches and near the roof(very hard to notice even standing next to it), a few minor parking dings/ dents consistent with original paint, which a dent removal specialist could easily rectify.
With the "big" mechanical jobs (Clutch/ Flywheel/ Cambelt) already done and the most desirable colour combination in the MK1 palette, this is an investment-grade survivor. I purchased this beautiful Audi TT two years ago from its previous long-term lady owner. It was her pride and joy. She was incredibly reluctant to sell (I noticed some tears), only doing so because the low, sporty profile became too difficult for her.
The private reg will be included in the sale; I was told similar registrations sold for approx. £3K on their own.
Owning this car has been a dream come true for me. It has proven to be a surprisingly practical sports car for our family. However, as my children grow, our time with the TT is naturally coming to an end. My 12 years old son still fits in the rear, and while my 10 year old daughter is still comfortable in the back, she has recently developed a preference for the front passenger seat to enjoy the heated seats.
This will be the final season our family can comfortably travel together in this car, which is the only reason I am passing it on to its next custodian. It has been well loved, carefully driven, and is ready for someone else to enjoy the "dream car" experience. It passed the MOT without any advisories(as always). I am open to sensible offers. I have just lowered the price(again).
