Description
BMW 7 Series E38 3. 5L Petrol/ LPG V8 2000 W Reg, very smooth and fantastic performance engine. Current Mileage 142, 174 with very good service record plenty of receipts and invoice from 2012 (Gearbox reconditioned alone cost £2200 in 2018) receipt in picture. Also Timing Chain and Guide all done few years ago. So major work completed.
2 Remote Keys and 1 plastic. All paperwork and manuals in folder.
Car runs and is registered for Bio Fuel (LPG) it runs on either Petrol or LPG. Gas Tank fitted in spare wheel area. Comes with full size alloy wheel in the boot. So you can’t get it any better of having a low running cost of fuel and driving a BMW flagship of the 90’s…
Bodywork is very good and almost rust free. Not like most E38. Arches and underneath very good.
A lot spend recently, Work carried out by BMW specialist. This was done in last few months:
-02 sensor fault, replaced 02 sensor
- MAF sensor fault, replaced MAF sensor
-ECU was opened and there was an attempt to fix it, replaced ECU and EWS module, coded them and replaced key transponders
-Accelerator pedal sensor fault, sensor replaced.
-Traction control fault, reprogrammed steering angle sensor.
-LCM faulty, replaced and coded LCM.
-Full service, oil and filters changed.
-Coolant expansion tank, replaced
-Perished radiator shroud, replaced
- Air box missing (cone air filter fitted) fitted standard air box with air filter
- Various bulbs not working, corroded taillight connectors, cleaned and replaced bulbs with holders
- Passenger side bonnet latch missing, fitted latch.
- realigned drivers side headlight and refitted lower trim.
Car start first time every-time and drives well.
Bad bits:
-The radio sometimes doesn’t work no sound but screen works. At time is all fines (no issue with anything else i. e trip computer
-AC needs Regas or looking into.
-Rear 1 parking sensor needs replacing.
The rest of the stuff windows, sunroof, boot, doors all work as they should.
This is a very good example of a E38 and its sitting on Fantastic set of alloy wheels with almost new tyres. (Alloys Could do with refurb). It’s not a perfect 7 series E38 but certainly a high 7/ 10. Leather inside could do with a deal clean and seats all work fine. Heater and blowers work well too.
It’s hardly been used in last 7/ 8 years. MOT till Aug 2026 but it will go in this week for a fresh 12 MOT and any issue(s) (doubt it) will be addressed.
