1983 Porsche 924 2. 0. First registered to T. J. Segrue 24th June.
Will meet criteria for Road Tax and MOT exemption. Eight keepers, bought 2020 with seized original stripped engine XJ008256 however camshaft and crankshaft do rotate by hand. Removed parts are included. Two keys do both ignition and hatch . Last MOT Pass 24 August 2015. Engine seized in Baden-Baden 12 September 2015 when stationary I believe. MOT expired 6 September 2016.
Rare carefully preserved body, underside and interior since purchase. The car is kept covered wheels-off on stands. Ref Rennlist - all 924/ 944 models were fully dip-galvanized from the factory, not just later models and they are fine to sit outside pretty much indefinitely.
Some age related dimples and marks, side strips need replaced. Dash has the usual cracking. File of receipts etc from previous owners included. Obviously nothing is guaranteed, and although purchased without inspection I am well satisfied.
Much time spent cleaning underside/ mechanical parts since purchase. Price reflects just a modest increase for my work done.
Having a trusted cost conscious engine builder would make a cost effective proposition.
Note - used and tested complete engines from auction sites not advised, you might need three to make a good one. Fitting 944 engines is not a simple option.
Timeless registration UUI 442 not included in sale.
Will be difficult to be shown a cleaner affordable base vehicle in the UK and one to judge any by without close inspection.
Presentable appearance, so once running could be used as is.
