Description
1954 BSA C11 250ccRelisted due to a total time waster ! This is a lovely old British lightweight 250cc motorcycle. Very rare as it’s the only one I know of running a simple magneto . It has 12volt total loss LED lighting system. a V5 in my name with 8 keepers. As you can see it runs and rides lovely, it has just been set up by Brit Steel Classics at Dover . Had a lot of work done and sports a brand new pair of trials type tyres. . , new cables etc . It has non return oil tap. This came to me with a lot of cheap ‘Amazon’ style products on it and as a non runner. So seeing as someone had taken a lot of time and effort making this bike run on a magneto and the only c11 bikes I know of running simple magnetos were exported to the Indian military in 1940s . I thought I’d give the bike a nod to that era with a set of WW2 era panniers, smaller back light, straighter bars and an original Wrights (expensive) sprung saddle. The bike was recently recommissioned and has good spark and great compression. Note, the bars and saddle might be different in some images but the ones on the bike now are the chrome straight bars and original wrights sprung saddle which wasn’t cheap! Very honest bike ready for years more of service . believe it’s a heavyweight 4 speed box. The whole bike has beautiful patina from its years of use . Ride as is or restore to show style. I can’t ride these bikes anymore due to illness. This is a real head turning thumper. Everything works. Viewing or collect in Dymchurch Kent. Note. It’s still at Brit Steel classics until mid week starting 30th July until I can collect it. Strictly by appointment only as I’m on dialysis in Canterbury three days a week. Payment via bank transfer only. Delivery I can get arranged in Uk for you but you need to contact me with details for a quote. I am pretty strong on the price but I will allow offers in the listing. If it doesn’t sell I’ll keep it in my shed and sit and look at it haha . Thanks for reading.
