This is a very high spec van which has had a lot of money spent on it. It has more than twice the power of a standard T2 and uprated suspension, brakes and steering to match. As a result it has no trouble keeping up with modern traffic. I’ve taken it to Le Mans for the past 14 years, Spa and the Italian Grand Prix in Monza and it hasn’t missed a beat.
I've owned the van for nearly 17 years. It was originally supplied to the Austrian market and spent most of its life at Salzburg airport where it didn’t see any salt. As a result the underside is incredibly clean for a bus this age which hasn’t been restored and it has required minimal welding during its lifetime.
