1954 Dodge Coronet Suburban Station Wagon
Ultra ultra rare 2 door station wagon that
I imported myself from California over 10 years ago. Originally a Wyoming car and had sat in the US for many years.
Body:
Completely solid with amazing all original patina, 99% factory paint.
All stainless trim complete, including the impossible to find wagon specific pieces.
Original green tinted glass.
Engine
110hp rebuilt 230 cu in flathead six, bored 0. 30 over.
New pistons, rings, bearings, timing gear, hoses, milled head to increase compression. Pertronix electronic ignition.
Original 6v system with Optima battery.
Oil bath air filter
All original decals and fittings - still has the chalk/ wax marks on the firewall.
Original and very rare heater system.
Transmission
Original 3 speed on the tree manual.
All new seals, etc (still leaks a bit)
Chassis
Rust free chassis
Overhauled brakes - new cylinders, lines
Lowered 2 inches front and rear - front using Ford Aerostar springs, rear on alloy blocks.
Interior
Re trimmed original split front bench seat.
Original fabric rear seat.
All original paint and trim.
New headliner in original style fabric and colour.
You will not find another one of these for sale anytime soon. It is probably the only one in the UK and likely Europe. These were rare 70 years ago!
It’s never seen rain in my ownership and has always been garaged. It hasn’t been used much in the last year and just needs a bit of light recommissioning to be perfect - Needs a new exhaust and the transmission leaks a bit but this is common issue on this era of Mopar, MOT and tax exempt. UK registered.
Please note - this is 72 years old and does not drive like a modern car or even a 60s/ 70s American car. It is from a time before speed limits and highways and only likes cruising at about 50mph. I’ve never driven it far and would advise trailering on collection.
