2002 BMW Z3 2. 2 Sport Manual – M54B22 170bhp – Topaz Blue
Up for sale is my 2002 BMW Z3 2. 2 Sport Individual, finished in BMW Topaz Blue with a blue/ black chameleon Sport leather interior and navy roof.
It’s powered by the M54B22 2. 2l NA straight-six engine, producing 170bhp. The car is a genuine BMW Individual (factory-stamped) and has a great specification including electric heated Sport seats, Sport steering wheel, Roll hoops + wind deflector, genuine BMW BBS Style 78 alloys and factory-fitted Limited Slip Differential (LSD).
I bought the car just over a year ago after it had been off the road for around 7 years. Since then I have put a significant amount of time and money into recommissioning and mechanically refreshing it, addressing majority of the known weak points of the Z3 and M54.
It has covered 119, 500 miles and has just passed its MOT with no advisories (July 2027 expiry).
Major Work Carried Out:
• Bilstein B12 shocks + Eibach springs, with new front/ rear top mounts and reinforcement plates
• Front and rear brakes – new discs, pads and callipers all around
• Complete cooling system refresh – radiator, water pump, thermostat, belt and hoses
• VANOS seals replaced
• Complete CCV system overhaul
• Rocker cover + oil filter housing gaskets replaced
• Pioneer marine spec. head unit (bluetooth) + front speakers & tweeters
• Front suspension/ steering refresh – polyurethane lollipop bushes, ARB bushes and inner/ outer tie rods
• MAF, oil, air and fuel filters replaced
The genuine BMW Style 78 BBS alloys have been freshly refurbished in Crystal Silver, coated with Gtechniq C5 ceramic coating and fitted with a full set of Kumho Ecsta Sport PS72 tyres.
The car has been dry stored in a garage over winter and only driven during the summer months during my ownership. It drives extremely well and is a genuine pleasure to drive. Any inspection is welcome.
Being a 25-year-old car, it does have some marks, scratches and wear which I'm sure could be improved with a professional polish.
