BMW R65 750cc Difazio Special 1987 .
This is with out doubt a 'Special' BMW .
Richard Difazio made 5 of these lightweight roadsters this one being the fifth made .
It was built for himself in the Difazio workshops in 2007/ 8 and uses the monolever chassis which is a little shorter with quicker steering geometry . The engine has been balanced , combustion chambers matched in volume and the carbs and ports smoothed to provide free-revving and responsive power.
Bores have been increased to to take 88mm pistons and ceramic coated giving a capacity of 750cc using the short stroke R45/ R65 engine . Final drive is 3. 2:1 .
The bike has been serviced recently with all oils and filter replaced . Tyres all good . MOT until 7/ 4/ 2027. The bike will qualify for Historic Taxation class in 2028.
Bike has covered around 18000 since build. Condition reflects low use .
Condition and quality of the bike is excellent and near to the condition when first built.
The bike is an easy starter and handles extremely well with the high RT style handlebars and excellent fairing and hand guard protection providing a very comfortable ride.
A surefoot sidestand has been fitted .
Optimate charge lead fitted.
Provenance is provided via all the paperwork which details the build / Mr Difazio's work .
