For sale my Subaru Impreza GC8 WRX STi Type RA Version 2. A rare opportunity to acquire a true Subaru performance icon.
The RA (Rallye Applicant) was Subaru’s lightweight, performance-focused variant designed for rally teams and enthusiasts. It came stripped of luxuries to reduce weight and increase performance:
- Manual windows, no ABS, no sound-deadening
- Thinner glass and lighter body panels
- No air-conditioning or stereo(dealer-fit optional in some cases)
- Close-ratio 5-speed gearbox with reinforced internals and short final drive
- Optional Driver-Controlled Centre Differential (DCCD)
- Rally roof vent in place of a sunroof
It is completely standard and unmodified example, speedo is still in kilometers. Only changes are the rear fog light for the UK.
Original 16 inch wheels have been refurbished and have Yokohama AD08RS tyres on them.
Original RA bucket seats in good condition, no bolster wear.
The paintwork does have some laquer peel in a few areas, some marks and the roof has a few small spots of surface rust as you can see in the photos.
Imported from Japan 4 years ago with Japanese Service information but i dont read any Japanese.
Since i bought the car its had a full service at a local Subaru Specialist and been maintained there when anything has needed doing.
