Description
89, 000 miles mercedes 500 SEC. Car is has been manual swapped. Very unusual and not many on the road with a manual transmission. The car has been woken up considerably. The gearbox is a 6 speed from a W203. A lot of money spent over the last 3 years. Prior to me buying the car had been stored for 15 years in a container, does mean it has very little rust. I listed the car a few months back whilst it wasn't running right. I've now fixed it (vacuum leaks and injector connectors) so it idles quite nicely though does still have a small misfire at idle that will need looking at. Main work completed whilst I've owned the car:- Cylinder head rebuilt with new valve guides.- Full timing chain and guides replaced- EFI conversion (InventJetronic kit) - Full Bilstein B8 kit- Riall wheels refurbished- Rear screen removed and rust fixed (they all rust here)- All new brake calipers, rotors and EBC pads- New alternator- New blower motor- Reupholstered headliner- Reupholstered recaro seats- Door wiper seals + boot seal- + a tonner of other smaller things The car has had a lot of money spent on it and is remarkably rust free for one of these. It is not perfect and would benefit from a really good detail. Let me know any questions.
