2010 Audi R8 5. 2 litre V10.
This car has been incredible to own. Audi reliability with the best exhaust notes from the naturally aspirated 5. 2-litre V10 engine. When looking to purchase I waited for one which had been maintained in its previous ownership with a reputable company, which is why I was happy to hear RePeformance maintained the car.
RePerformance is one of the UK's leading Audi R8 specialists, if not the best. This year it received a full service & MOT, following extensive work completed throughout 2025. Which included a gearbox oil change, new brake discs and pads all round, stainless steel braided brake lines, and new rear Brembo brake callipers.
In January 2025, the factory mag ride suspension was converted by RePerformance to springs, to save the fear of mag ride failing in future. The driving characteristics are brilliant, the car is not too firm over bumpy UK roads but provides stiffness when you go round a corner faster than normal.
In 2024, the car had an engine carbon clean alongside a full service, and four new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres were fitted.
Cosmetically, the 2025 front bumper, bonnet and door mirrors are protected with paint protection film (PPF) finished with a ceramic coating. The paintwork looks great. The interior is in exceptionally good condition for age with no wear marks in the leather or the bolsters.
The private number plate will come with the car. The car has also been fitted with an aftermarket exhaust which has an incredible exhaust note but while not droning on motorways. I have taken this car to Europe and not found any issues with the loudness or any drone.
There is an intermittent fault with the reversing camera. It switches on when reverse is selected but then turns off. RePerformance inspected this and advised that the solution would be to replace the media head unit. As the rear parking sensors work perfectly well, I've chosen not to replace the head unit and have simply lived with it.
To listen to music or podcast I use the Ipod connection cable directly to my phone.
Overall, this has been a thoroughly enjoyed and very well cared-for R8. I've spent money to maintain the car to a standard that I was personally looking for when buying. The plan is now to purchase another dream car while also needing to put money towards a house… (unfortunately)
