The vehicle offered here underwent a comprehensive, high-quality restoration from the ground up in 1997. During this restoration, numerous components were replaced with new parts and the Austin-Healey was rebuilt with great attention to quality and longevity.
Since completion of the restoration, the vehicle remained continuously in the ownership of an enthusiast and collector until 2026. Over nearly three decades, the Healey was carefully maintained, regularly serviced and driven exclusively in fine weather. After every outing, the vehicle was carefully put away in the garage. Only due to age did the long-time owner reluctantly decide to part with this special vehicle.
Particularly noteworthy is the fact that this Austin-Healey, despite its years in a collector's hands, was never simply left standing idle. The vehicle was driven regularly every year. You can tell today: the mechanics don't feel "seized up" but rather present themselves in very good working order.

History, Engineering and Character
The powerful straight-six engine runs beautifully smoothly and impresses with excellent pulling power. The engine responds cleanly to throttle input, runs evenly and shows neither hesitation nor any other undesirable quirks.
The gearbox also shifts very nicely. The overdrive, characteristic of the Austin-Healey, functions perfectly and provides a particularly pleasant driving experience, especially on longer journeys.
The interior was completely renewed during the restoration and presents itself in an exceptionally beautiful and well-maintained condition to this day.
The seats have been re-upholstered in leather, the carpeting has been renewed and the corresponding trim and fittings have been refurbished or replaced during the work. The result is a classic, high-quality interior that perfectly complements the overall appearance of the vehicle.
The entire bodywork is in very good condition and is rust-free. There are no damage or comparable defects.
The paintwork also impresses with very good and high-quality execution. Only on the driver's side are there two scratches, which are shown accordingly in the sales photographs. Apart from that, the bodywork presents itself as exceptionally beautiful and well-maintained.
The soft top is in like-new condition. The chrome trim also looks excellent and underscores the elegant lines of this British classic.
Headlights, tail lights and other trim pieces are also in excellent condition. The many details combine to create a very harmonious and high-quality overall appearance.
