Description
UK 1975 Daytona Orange R90S in very good original and unrestored condition. I’m the fourth owner from new and it’s only covered a genuine 7942 miles from new.
It’s obviously tax/ mot exempt but has some old docs/ mot’s which confirm the mileage. I bought the bike locally 14 months ago from a friends relation who inherited it from his brother in 2015, he originally bought it in 1977. An MOT from 1978 shows a mileage of 7630 and one in 2015 shows a mileage of only 7679, so it’s only done 312 miles in nearly 50 years! It runs like a new bike, especially with new Avon Road Rider tyres. I added new chrome pannier rails, the panniers aren’t in the best condition but they’re presentable and will be included in the sale.
I first tried to buy this bike about 6 years ago but the owner wouldn’t sell, despite obviously not riding it. I managed to eventually buy it 14 months ago through my friend who is a relation of the owner when he had to move into a care home. I wanted this particular iconic model when it first came out in the 70’s, however I couldn’t afford one as they were about twice the cost of a Kawasaki Z1A at the time, which is what I bought.
It’s basically a bit of a time warp bike in great original condition which was more of an ornament to the previous owners.
There can’t be many original unrestored bikes in this condition and particularly with this very low mileage.
Only regretfully selling due to a change in circumstances and a recurring elbow problem which is making riding any bike too uncomfortable at present.
Viewing is welcome and recommended. Not sure if I can add anymore additional requested pictures but I will if I can.
