Beautiful 2001 Honda CBR 1100 XX Super Blackbird!
This bike was very well looked after and has had a good amount of practical and comfort mods, that don't overtly change the look of the original bike. Almost all original parts are still available for the bike, if required.
Fantastic bike that's mechanically and cosmetically sound. It has full service history up to about 25k. I bought the bike when it had 30k on it and did a full service myself, and have only ridden it about 2. 5k since then. I'm regretfully selling it due to the fact I can't get on with the size and riding position, despite doing a flat bar and peg lowering conversion.
Talking of which, the flat bar conversion is the most obvious mod on the bike, I also have the original clip-ons and aftermarket risers for the clip-ons, so there are 3 different options available for riding position.
I got quite a few parts on the bike Cerakoted, so they are rock solid and stay protected and looking good for many years.
It's got an valid MOT until the end of September 2026, but I'm happy to put it through another one, if that's a deal breaker. It's currently SORN'd as I have another bike I use, but it's kept under cover in a dry garage and hooked up to a trickle charger. If it sells, then I'll go through the bike and make sure it's all still good as gold.
Here's the list of mods I've done, with the original parts I still have.
1. Cerakoted the fork lowers, yokes, clip-ons, risers, bar clamps, radiator and rear subframe.
2. Full stainless Black Widow exhaust system, including header studs and nuts... Original parts available.
3 New radiator, as they tend to be a weak point on Blackbirds. Had it Cerakoted to keep it going longer. Obviously also did a full coolant flush at the same time... Original parts available.
4. Jaws flat bar conversion and rider peg lowering kit... Original parts available.
5. Preload adjustable fork caps & Ohlins front fork springs... Original parts available
6. LED bulb upgrade for indicators, rear light and dash panel... Original parts available
7. De-linked brakes and overhauled the calipers with new seals and stainless nipples & pin covers. Hel braided lines fitted for both front and rear brakes and master cylinder seals replaced.
8. Hel braided clutch line fitted, with master cylinder seals replaced.
9. Speedo Healer fitted, bringing the bike's speedo in line with sat-nav accuracy.
10. MRA fully adjustable touring screen... Black double-bubble available.
11. Very comfortable gel seat, made by CM Seats.

These bikes are legendary for a reason! Equally at home as a commuter or a inter-continental touring machine, they will happily put up with anything you can throw at them. There are plenty or modifications you can do to them and, for a fully faired bike, they are easy to work on.
They have their weak points, namely the radiators rotting. This one has had that fully addressed with a brand new rad that has been cerakoted to prevent the usual corrosion setting in. Likewise, the cerakoting on the yokes, rear subframe and fork lowers will also ensure that no matter if you use this as an all weather workhorse or a sunny day toy, it'll go the distance and remain looking and performing well.
