Late 1999 TVR Griffith 500 with power steering, finished in Estoril Blue with Magnolia leather and showing approximately 49, 800 miles. I have owned the car since 2019 and it comes with an extensive history file, invoices and a comprehensive photographic record of its documented body-off chassis refurbishment.
Around eight years ago the car underwent a body-off refurbishment by TVR101. The body was removed, the chassis stripped back, the outriggers replaced and the chassis hot-zinc primed and powder coated before the car was rebuilt. Numerous chassis and suspension components were renewed and Nitron NTR Sport adjustable suspension fitted.
The history file contains extensive photographs showing the body-off process, bare chassis, refurbishment and subsequent rebuild.
Importantly, the chassis and underside were inspected again during a comprehensive service at the end of August 2026. The garage specifically commented on how good the chassis remains. Current photographs taken with the car on the ramp are included alongside photographs from the original refurbishment, allowing buyers to see both the work carried out and its condition today.
The August 2026 service and pre-sale mechanical inspection included:

It also has an Alpine UTE-92BT Bluetooth digital-media receiver with upgraded speakers, Leven aluminium indicator and wiper stalks, an Anderson under-bonnet jump-start connection and a permanently installed trickle-charger connection.
The Surrey roof system, storage bags for the removable roof sections and space-saver spare wheel are all included.

The car presents very well overall, with some age-related cosmetic imperfections including localised paint microblistering and stone chips to the front. These are cosmetic and are reflected in the asking price.

What makes this car stand out is the combination of a late Griffith 500, power steering, Estoril Blue/ Magnolia colour scheme and a properly documented body-off chassis refurbishment.
On a Griffith, chassis condition is one of the biggest considerations. Here, the major work has already been done, photographed and documented, and the recent underside inspection provides useful reassurance about how well that work has lasted. The car has also been developed into a very usable Griffith rather than simply preserved. The recent end-of-August service was deliberately comprehensive before sale. Correct NGK B7ECS plugs, distributor cap and rotor arm, fresh oil and filter, fully renewed brake fluid and coolant, timing check and mechanical inspection have all just been completed. Together with the replacement alternator and heavy-duty battery, the car has been prepared for its next owner rather than being advertised with routine maintenance immediately due.
It is also unusually complete for touring and regular use. The Surrey roof system, roof storage bags and space-saver spare wheel are included, while the remote boot release, Alpine UTE-92BT Bluetooth receiver and upgraded speakers, Leven stalks, Anderson jump connection and permanent trickle-charger lead make ownership that little bit easier without changing the essential character of the car.
And underneath all of that is what makes the Griffith 500 so appealing in the first place: the 5. 0-litre V8, compact proportions, very low weight, open-roof driving and unmistakable TVR styling.
For somebody looking for a Griffith 500 to drive and enjoy rather than a car requiring a long list of immediate jobs, this is a particularly well-prepared and well-documented example.
