Description
A lovely low-mileage 2013 Volkswagen Kombi camper, showing just 34, 000 km from new and finished in the classic blue and white colour scheme. Open to P/ X for something interesting.
I have owned the van primarily for business promotional use, so during my ownership it has had very light use and has not actually been used for camping. It has mainly been used as an eye-catching promotional vehicle at events and for occasional journeys.
It is a left-hand-drive tin-top Kombi, which is arguably one of the nicest configurations to drive. The tin-top shell retains more of its original rigidity than conversions where a large section of roof has been removed, and this particular van drives very nicely with a smooth, easy gear change.
Bodywork
The van is very solid and has no major rot anywhere.
There are a few small rust spots and minor age-related blemishes, but nothing I would describe as serious structural corrosion.
The paintwork is generally very good. The van has been wrapped for the last few years, which has helped protect the paint underneath, and overall it presents extremely well.
With its pastel blue and white colour scheme, it is a very striking van and always attracts attention.
Interior & camper conversion
The interior has been converted into a very attractive camper with:
Matching blue front and rear upholstery
Rear seating with seatbelts
Fitted wooden cabinetry
Waeco fridge
Sink and kitchen area
Cooking facilities
Leisure battery/ electrical equipment
Storage cupboards
Curtains throughout
Plenty of usable living space
Please note: I have never personally used the van for camping, so I have not familiarised myself with the operation of the onboard camper equipment.
The fridge, cooking facilities, water system, leisure electrics and other camping equipment are therefore being described as fitted rather than confirmed fully operational. Prospective buyers are very welcome to inspect and test the equipment themselves when viewing.
I would much rather be completely transparent about this than claim to know how equipment works when I have simply never needed to use it.
Driving
The van has covered only 34, 000 km and has had very little use during my ownership.
It starts, drives and changes gear very nicely. The gearbox in particular feels smooth and positive, which makes it a very pleasant Kombi to drive.
Being LHD and retaining its original tin-top shell, it feels considerably more solid than some camper conversions and retains much of the character of the original Kombi.
