Current Mileage approx 13, 000 miles, following restoration.
Originally delivered to New Zealand and purchased by the current owner over 20 years ago, it has been comprehensively restored. During this process, the car was converted to left-hand drive (LHD), with the original right-hand drive (RHD) steering box retained with the vehicle. A more modern Jaguar gearbox has been fitted with Laycock de Normanville Overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears, making the car far more pleasant for longer journeys. The original gearbox is included with the car.
The braking system has been upgraded with silicone DOT 5 brake fluid for excellent, trouble-free operation, and electronic ignition has been installed—all enhancements that make the car suitable for many more miles of driving enjoyment.
Over recent years, this car has been used for rallies at home and abroad, as well as for longer multi-day tours. Despite the somewhat dated restoration, the car is in excellent condition with only light signs of use. This is a car built to be driven—a comfortable, spacious tourer suited to longer distances and one that performs superbly in modern traffic.
Due to the owner's advanced age, this car is now offered for sale.
Recently, the car has been fitted with new tyres and a new battery.
The car currently carries Belgian registration.
