Description
I am selling my Audi 80 1. 8 S automatic, in stunning condition for a 1989 car. I have owned it for almost 10 years. Over that time I have kept it dry stored and only used it in the driest and sunniest conditions, when it has continually turned heads. The time has come, sadly, to sell it as I do not have the dry store area any more and it is not getting the use that a practical classic like this deserves. I have loved owning the car and have upkept it accordingly giving it everything it needs over the years.
Condition
The bodywork is in excellent condition on the body and the chassis. It has galvanised panels and I took it to be under-treated for rust at a specialist last year.
Brakes were replaced fully last year with refurbished disks and drums, new master cylinder, and new brake lines.
Driving
It runs exceptionally well and is a real pleasure to drive, holding corners well and responding solidly. 1. 8 litre, naturally aspirated, with the famous kick-down function - cutting edge technology in the late 80s! It is a far superior driving experience to the Volkswagens you will see from the same era in north Cornwall, IMO. And it has been the only car of its kind at shows in the area.
History
The service history record is meticulous. It includes the original VAG service schedule book as well as the original manual. 74534The owners previous to myself also kept the car in a garage and only used it in good weather, keeping the car serviced on its yearly or mileage-specific points. I had it fully serviced including oil change, air filter, in-line fuel filter, fan belt, power steering belt, and REPLACED CAM BELT in 2025 at 80902 miles.

Bad points
The bad points are strictly cosmetic and for me are a mild irritation at worst. Internal - The usual saggy headliner, and a few blemishes internally. External - The lacquer is starting to peel down one side but the paint itself is exceptional. The bumpers and other plastics around the car are sun-faded, but I find applying a relevant product periodically brings them out well, almost back to original black.
